I absolutely love how these two birthday cakes turned out! My client Brenda wanted two birthday cakes for her two grandson's and hey wanted a Mario cake and a Luigi cake. The Mario cake was a chocolate cake with buttercream icing and Luigi was yellow cake with buttercream icing. Both were an 8in for the bottom an the top is a 6 in. size wise. I added each of the boy's name on the 6 in teir.. I added their age they were turning, also on the cake if you can see.. on the tunnel for Mario and on the flag for Luigi. Now I still wanted to add the whole color theme of each of the characters onto the cake. and both of the bottom teirs are suppose to represent the video game, with the clouds, stars the flowers (the flowers that turn you into shooting fireballs) and the coins. I also added all over the cake the mushrooms, the bad guy mushrooms, the bomb, the spike turtle, etc.
I also added the stars that come off the top teir.. it def. adds so much to the cake. Now I also added the black ribbon on the top teir and the dowel for the flag.. everything else is completely edible.. oh also the toothpicks in the guys arms and legs. Everything als is hand made.. it adds the ONE OF A KIND touch to all my cakes. Hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I do. I had soo much fun making these cakes...!!! Thanks Brenda again !!!
