My Work So Far..

Daisy Fondant Cake

This one is defiantly my favorite so far. The customer asked for a two tiers, chocolate, daisies that wrapped around the cake. The cake was all chocolate cake with butter cream icing and the bottom tier is an 8" and the top tier is a 6". The main cake was an ivory color and I had a light green to accent the bottoms and the cake board. I made the different color daisies and the leafs a couple days before so they could dry. I put everything together the morning of. I added happy birthday summer.. and the number 2 on top. Some of the flowers were held on by wire, but most of them stayed on with edible glue. I also added edible yellow luster dust on the middles of the flowers for a shimmer and to look like pollen and the leafs had green luster dust on also. There is also edible pearls that follow the daisies on the cake. Also I piped royal icing on the bottoms of each cake to add to it too. I loved the way it turned out.. and she was very happy with it. I hope her daughter absolutely loves it!!

Eeyore Baby Shower Cake

This was for my friends baby shower cake. She's having a baby girl and wanted something pooh. Soo.. I actually wanted to make an Eeyore cake.. but didn't have enough time and made the cake with Eeyore on top. It was funny because she said it was her favorite pooh character.. But I wish I had a little more time to do more detail on the cake.. But its still cute. I have Eeyore on a baby blanket.. and I absolutely love his pink bow on his tail.. too cute. She also wanted to try and keep the Eeyore until her daughters 1st birthday.. because the fondant characters last a long time. The cake board got a little rain on it and I didn't have wrap on it.. so you can kinda see the spots on the board. that's okay though.. next time !! Oh I almost forgot.. the cake was white cake.. but I made it so that when you cut into it.. the layers were white, pink, white, pink .. it was soo cute.. I did it like that because she was having a girl.. soo.. I can do colors too and it tastes the same !!

Spongebob Fondant Cake

This was a request upon my aunt, for my cousin Colin's 5th birthday. He loves Sponge bob, soo this was something that I knew he would be very happy about. The cake was a three layer yellow cake with homemade butter cream icing. I put the cake on a blue fondant cake board that I also made myself. the board helps with support and moving it from place to place. I was very happy how this turned out.. It really looks like Sponge bob,, soo cute. I love making characters!!

Jungle/Safari themed Cake

This was actually my first fondant cake I made. It was for my son's 1st birthday and it was a safari/zoo theme. So I made the bottom tier with 2 chocolate cakes and made them 4 layers with homemade butter cream icing, to represent a zebra. The top tier was white cake and same butter cream icing, to represent a giraffe. I made all 8 animals a couple days in advance with gum paste. Everything is edible too! This cake was a big hit.. and I defiantly had a fun time making it for my little Carter. I think my mom actually took two of the animals home with her, she couldn't bare to see them thrown away. lol. I made a giraffe, hippo, lion, zebra, tiger, elephant, monkey and a snake.
