Housewife Themed Bridal Shower Cupcakes

This is a 20 cupcake order for a bridal shower. They wanted 10 chocolate and 10 yellow cupcakes. The chocolate cupcakes are covered in white fondant and topped with a strawberry, a little white flower and edible pink shimmer dust on the strawberries. The yellow cupcakes are covered in yellow fondant and topped with a red cherry, yellow sprinkles on top also.. the stem being the only non edible thing on the cupcake.. with a little red bead at the top. The color scheme for the shower was white and yellow.. Very cute cupcakes !! They are in a silver cupcake wrapper with a white one over it to add flare !!

In Loving Memory Birthday Cake

This was a cake for a friend of my sisters' who had past away. It was in celebration of his birthday and memory. The cake was a three layer 8" round yellow cake with vanilla buttercream and fresh strawberries. The Tye dye on the cake was hand painted with edible colors, and bordered with royal icing at the bottom. The topper was also hand made.. def. can change a few things but for the most part it worked. Also was to represent Ross, with the baseball hat, Pink Floyd shirt, long hair and glasses. Also the cross was added and peace signs for in his memory. Then the fondant ribbon with "In Loving Memory of Ross Holt" on it. Def. loved the colors and pretty happy with the cake, especially with the first time making a person.. lol it will be perfected !!

First Holy Communion for Colin

This cake was for my cousin Colins' First Holy Communion. The top tier was a chocolate and bottom was a white cake, both with vanilla buttercream and strawberries. I covered both tiers with white fondant and added the cross on top. I had a light blue ribbon for the boarders of both cakes and added draping on the cake clasped with white and blue flowers. I also made the rosary, all edible and handmade, along with everything that is on the cake. I did experience some small ripples on the cake because of the humidity the past couple of days.. fondant and humid weather do not work well. But I definitely loved the cake a lot. Very happy with it :)

Disney's Lightning McQueen Birthday Cake

This was a really fun cake to make for Sarah's son's second birthday. The cake was made up of 3 layers of yellow cake and vanilla buttercream, carved to the shape of lighting then covered with red fondant. It was a little challenging.. but definitely loved the outcome. I also made the cake board with pieces of fondant to get the checkered effect, the "Happy Birthday Jakob!" ribbon and the candle holder of the trophy. I decided to put JV for his initials in front on the car and put 02 for his age on top of the car. I did want to add flags and what not.. but that's okay.. Very fun cake to make, loved it.

"Health Week" Huge Sugar Cookie Order

I was asked to make a huge order of decorated cookies for Freedom Village Retirement Community, for Health Week. The cookies were for all the employees over at the Inn part of Freedom Village. I made 120 individually packaged cookies with ribbon for each one of  the 120 cookies. All the cookies are sugar cookies and decorated with fondant and royal icing. The first 40 cookies I made were the bandaide cookies.. all with the color of actual bandaide and had a red heart in each corner with a shine dot on each heart. They also had a hint of edible pink luster/shimmer dust on each one also. Then I made 20 Navy Blue scrubs that the nurses have to were (Brookedale colors) and they all had stethoscopes on each one!! so cute. I also made 20 Forrest Green scrubs that CNA's were for brookedale and also had the stethoscope on them too, and edible luster/shimmer dust on each one. Then finally 40 Health Cross cookies.. with the red corss and black royal icing dots that boardered each cookie. Each cookie was packaged and had an accented ribbon on each one. They turned out great!! I loved them!! I love making cookies :) Whew.. a lot of work lol

Dedication Cake for Nicholas

This was just a small 6" round cake, classic yellow cake with pineapple buttercream filling. I replicated a newborn picture the client had of the baby in a basket with their dog emma by his side.. and with blankets. So I made their dog, baby, blankets, bottle and raddle out of gumpaste. She requested a Chocolate Brown and blue theme color cake.. so I added the Chocolate brown ribbon at the bottom and the cake board.. and the colors in polka dots around the cake.. but the small bronw dots I made into paw prints.. because the baby loves dogs.. and it look really really cute. I love the baby and the blankets.. hah and all the other little things.. it was adorable.. !!
